An informative animated film was presented during the workshop about “Positief in Beeld” at the Positively Dutch stand. The film uses visualizations to show what the learning module is about.
The learning module “Positief in Beeld” is a hands-on educational program in which students work together in groups towards achieving the final assignment: educating others about HIV. They may choose to educate other students within their own school community or study track or select a different target group themselves. By gathering knowledge themselves and then sharing it with their chosen target group during an educational event, they retain more information and increase their own knowledge of HIV. In this way, all the students contribute to the social objective of this learning module: to make HIV visible and open to discussion, to fight the stigma surrounding HIV in the Netherlands.
The “Positief in Beeld” learning module originated as a collaboration between Summa College and the Dutch Association of People Living with HIV. Through this learning module, we want to make HIV visible in a positive way in adult education and vocational training.
